TCBCA Bidness:
Board Meetings
Here's a big warm and friendly welcome from the Texas Chapter of the BCxA... but you can just call us the TCBCA. We were once a part of the vast Southwest Region that covered all of the southwest states from Texas to California. But back around 2010 representatives from each of the states met over several months to hatch a plan to better serve the membership of the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA).

As a result, 17 brave Texans signed a petition to create a chapter of the BCxA in the Great State of Texas with the help of their first Chapter President, Kyle Lambert (left), leading the charge to become a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization. And so, on January 25th, 2011 the TCBCA received its Permanent Charter from the BCxA, and successfully seceded from the Southwest Region! The TCBCA is made up of dedicated members across the state of Texas, and is composed of commissioning providers, building owners, and contractors who promote the whole building commissioning approach according to BCxA Essential Attributes. The focus of the chapter is to connect our members that are passionate about providing high quality buiding commissioning and to help usher in commissioning as "business as usual" for the built environment. |

It is important for mechanical engineers and commissioning providers to have a thorough understanding of the test and balance report for a building's HVAC system. This course can help provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to review a test and balance report for various HVAC systems. The course will cover the importance of test and balance in ensuring the proper functioning of HVAC systems, as well as the key components of a test and balance report, such as air and water flow rates, temperatures, and pressures. Participants will also learn how to identify common issues and discrepancies in test and balance reports and how to work with contractors and commissioning providers to address these issues.
